MeDirect has signed up as a Platinum Sponsor of the Malta Development Association, strengthening its commitment to a professional, high-quality property and construction industry that makes a real contribution to the Maltese economy. The partnership pairs one of the country's leading banks with one of the most influential voices in Malta's property and construction sector.
Founded in 2010, the MDA has grown into one of the most credible and influential bodies in the field, representing more than 1,000 members across a broad range of businesses. Its membership takes in developers, contractors, property agents, landlords, quarry owners and renewable energy service providers, reflecting the breadth of the industry it speaks for.
Through the partnership, MeDirect aims to support the MDA in its ongoing work to promote best practice, raise industry standards and encourage sustainable growth across the sector.
The move signals a closer working relationship between the financial services and property and construction communities, two areas central to the country's wider economic activity.
Massimo Debono, Head of Corporate Finance at MeDirect, said the bank “believes in supporting sectors that are vital to Malta's economic development.”He added that the “partnership with the MDA reflects MeDirect's commitment to encouraging professionalism and long-term value creation within the industry”, and that the bank looks forward to contributing to the progress and dialogue of the sector.
Michael Stivala, President of the MDA, welcomed the new sponsorship, saying the association was pleased to have MeDirect on board as a Platinum Sponsor. He said the support “underlines the value of collaboration between financial institutions and industry partners in building a more sustainable and forward-looking development sector”, and that together the two organisations could continue to raise standards and deliver value to the Maltese economy.
