Ridwan Olalere, Co-founder and CEO of LemFi, joins the speaker line-up at the EU-Startups Summit 2026, taking place on 7-8 May at the Mediterranean Conference Centre in Valletta.

LemFi is a fintech company building a financial services platform that enables immigrants to send, spend, and manage money seamlessly across borders. Headquartered in London with a strong presence across Africa , the company has grown rapidly into one of the most compelling stories in global fintech, now serving over two million customers worldwide and processing more than $1 billion in monthly transaction volume.

Under Olalere's leadership, LemFi has raised over $86.9 million to date, including a $53 million Series B round in January 2025 that underscored the company's exceptional growth trajectory and the scale of the market opportunity it is addressing. Today, the platform offers international transfers, multi-currency accounts, and a suite of financial tools designed specifically for people who live, work and move between countries, making everyday financial life simpler for a genuinely underserved global community.

At the Summit, Olalere will deliver a talk titled "Entrepreneurial Insights from Building Disruptive Fintech Products for Global Communities", drawing on his experience of scaling LemFi across multiple regions and navigating complex regulatory environments to build products that resonate with diverse user bases across the world.

His presence in Malta is a natural fit for an island that has distinguished itself as one of Europe's most forward-thinking environments for fintech and financial services. Malta has demonstrated a consistent willingness to embrace innovation with regulatory clarity, and the EU-Startups Summit serves as a focal point for that ambition, attracting around 2,500 founders, investors, corporates, and media representatives from across the continent.

The Summit's line-up continues to reflect the breadth and quality of talent converging on Valletta in May, with LemFi's story of building meaningful financial inclusion for millions of people worldwide adding a compelling global dimension to proceedings.
