Malta continues to cement its reputation as Europe's premier aviation jurisdiction as Qatar Executive, the prestigious private jet division of Qatar Airways, moves forward with plans to establish a European Air Operator's Certificate (AOC) in Malta. This strategic decision underscores Malta's growing appeal as the destination of choice for international aviation companies seeking operational excellence and access to EU markets.

Qatar Executive's Chief Commercial Officer Thierry Antinori revealed that demand and revenue for executive jet services have surged, with the company experiencing a remarkable 26% revenue increase over the past twelve months. The establishment of a European AOC would enable Qatar Executive to provide smoother, more efficient services across the continent while operating its impressive fleet of long-range business jets, including Gulfstream G700s and G650ERs.
