MeDirect Becomes Official Banking Partner of Malta Premier League

MeDirect Bank has been named Official Banking Partner of the Malta Premier League (MPL), in a partnership designed to go well beyond traditional sponsorship and support the long-term development of Maltese football.

As part of the agreement, MeDirect will act as banking partner for the League’s new stadium project in Marsa, providing banking solutions and financial expertise to support what is set to be one of the most significant infrastructure projects in Maltese football, delivering a modern, purpose-built home for the MPL and enhancing the country’s sporting facilities.

The partnership also extends to two initiatives recently launched by the Malta Premier League, focused on driving the continued professionalisation of football clubs and supporting the development of homegrown footballing talent. Together, the collaboration represents a significant investment in the future of the sport, aimed at helping clubs compete more effectively both on and off the pitch while building a more sustainable football ecosystem.
