Malta Semiconductor Centre Signs New Partnership On First Anniversary

Malta Enterprise has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with BLUMORPHO and Malta Venture Capital. This agreement marks the first anniversary of the Malta Semiconductor Competence Centre aimed at strengthening Malta's deep tech ecosystem.

The partnership will open new opportunities for startups and established companies across the deep tech sector, including semiconductors. It focuses on supporting innovation, encouraging collaboration, and giving companies access to new networks as they grow.

Malta Enterprise has revealed that the Centre has accelerated more than 20 companies through its programmes since it opened a year ago. Each received guidance, resources and ecosystem connections designed to advance their solutions and strengthen their market potential.

A second cohort has now started the accelerator programme, bringing a new group of founders and innovators into the Centre.

The Centre works alongside its consortium partners: Silicon Catalyst EU, the University of Malta, MCAST and the Malta Digital Innovation Authority. Together they give participating companies access to technical expertise, research capacity and skills development in one place. 

Semiconductors are a priority area for European industrial policy, Malta Enterprise confirmed it will continue to position the country as a destination for high value technology innovation and for companies working on semiconductors and deep technologies.
