FinanceMalta’s annual financial services conference has achieved unprecedented industry backing, with 45 companies confirmed as sponsors for the upcoming November event - marking an increase from 38 last year.

The 18th edition of FinanceMalta's flagship conference will take place at the Hilton Malta from 19 to 20 November, convening policymakers, industry leaders and media. Over the two days, there will be a mixture of panels, fireside chats, spotlight sessions, and networking. The topics being discussed are a wide variety, ranging from AI to aircraft leasing.

According to FinanceMalta’s Chief Operating Officer Graziella Grech, the rise in sponsorship participation demonstrates the “increasingly strong confidence of our industry in Malta’s financial services ecosystem”.

The increase in sponsorship numbers is not the only metric that indicates Malta’s financial services industry is growing in credibility and international recognition. Earlier this year, Malta was the highest climber in the 2025 Greenfield Foreign Direct Investment Performance Index, surging 50 positions to rank 33rd globally.

The international interest in financial services is creating jobs and helping to drive Malta’s economic growth. Indeed, the Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA) highlighted that the sector accounts for 8.2% of the total real GVA, representing a 0.2 percentage point increase from the previous year, in its 2024 annual report. The sector’s workforce has grown by a significant 21.6% since 2020.

The conference sponsor roster features prominent market players, with Calamatta Cuschieri Moneybase plc serving as Diamond Sponsor and Dominion backing the networking activities. Nine companies have committed at the Platinum level, including AQA Capital Ltd, Finco Trust Services, Bank of Valletta, Malta Stock Exchange, LifeStar Insurance, Systemic, Mediterranea Capital Partners, Investors Europe (Malta) Ltd, and Audentia Capital.

This year's conference theme, "Redefining Finance: A Quality-Driven Future for Malta," reflects the industry's commitment to excellence and forward-thinking approaches. The full conference program can be accessed via FinanceMalta’s official website.
